Unreal Engine Cinematics

Creating cutscenes is an important part of any game project. Cutscenes help raise dramatic tension and set up important encounters. I recently completed a Udemy course working on cinematics and wanted to show what I made!

Details

  • Made in Unreal Engine 5

  • Uses 4 shots and a master level sequence pulling together all shots

  • Uses Rails and Cranes with attached cinematic actors to create camera location and trajectory

  • Uses keyframes to set details over the course of a shot

  • Everything made with existing UE assets (3rd person basic project)
